The Digital Health Breakthrough Network is a new program in NYCEDC’s expanding portfolio of initiatives to establish New York City as a leading center of digital health and improve the competitiveness and strength of the City’s healthcare sector, which employs over 500,000 New Yorkers. Launched in partnership with HITLAB, the Network will enable rapid and insightful evaluations of new technology prototypes by doctors, home health aides, case managers, family care providers, and consumers.
The Digital Health Breakthrough Network is an NYCEDC-HITLAB partnership in NYCEDC’s digital health portfolio, which positions New York City as a leading center of digital health and spurs economic growth to ensure jobs for the more than half-a-million-and-growing healthcare workers in the City. The Network aims to create jobs in New York City by putting early-stage health tech startups on an accelerated track to become viable businesses.

Starting today, NYCEDC and HITLAB are accepting applications from pre-revenue and pre-Series A health tech startups to have their technologies stressed, tested, and validates in rigorous pilot studies.
